John Barnes
Mr. Barnes joined the Law Office of James A.H. Bell, P.C. after graduating with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2009. During his time in law school, Mr. Barnes discovered and developed his passion for defending the criminally accused. In recognition of his dedication to criminal defense, he was awarded the Robert W. Ritchie Criminal Defense Scholarship. In addition to his criminal defense work, Mr. Barnes also maintains an active civil practice, primarily representing individuals. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Tennessee.
Mr. Barnes is admitted to practice before the Tennessee Supreme Court and all Tennessee State and Appellate Courts. He is a member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Knoxville Bar Association.
